By MRT to Orchard (NS22)

Take the Changi Airport line to Tanah Merah and change onto the East–West Line towards the city. At City Hall change onto the North–South Line and ride north to Orchard (NS22), in the heart of the shopping belt near ION Orchard. The trip is about S$2 and 55–65 minutes end to end.

Orchard Road hotels stretch from Tanglin to Somerset, so check whether Somerset (NS23) or Dhoby Ghaut is actually closer to your hotel before you get off — it can save a long walk with luggage.

Taxi, Grab and when they pay off

By road Orchard is about 25–35 minutes from Changi, usually S$25–45 on the meter, before the S$6–8 airport surcharge. With shopping in mind — or a family and suitcases — a taxi or a fixed-price private transfer to the hotel door is the low-stress option, especially in the afternoon when the rail route needs two changes.
