From SIN to Jurong East
Jurong East is out on the west side of Singapore, so it's the longest of the popular city rides from Changi. By MRT across the island
Ride the Changi Airport line to Tanah Merah and change onto the East–West Line towards Tuas. Stay on it right across the island to Jurong East (EW24), which also interchanges with the North–South Line (NS1). It's just one change, but the west-bound ride is long — budget 60–75 minutes and about S$2–3.
Jurong East is a major transport and mall hub — JEM, Westgate and IMM are all at the station, and the Science Centre and Chinese Garden are nearby.
Taxi and Grab to the west
By expressway Jurong East is about 30–40 minutes from Changi, usually S$35–50 by meter — more than the central districts because of the distance. For groups with luggage a fixed-price private transfer can work out comparable and avoids the long rail ride.
