By MRT: change at Expo for Bayfront
From the Changi Airport station beneath Terminals 2 and 3, take the train two stops to Expo and change onto the Downtown Line (DTL). Stay on it to Bayfront (DT16), which exits straight into Marina Bay Sands and is a short walk from Gardens by the Bay. This is the fewest-transfer rail route for the Marina Bay area.
Alternatively, ride to Tanah Merah and change onto the mainline East–West Line towards the city for Raffles Place, then walk or take one stop south.
